Beschreibung
Trysunda is a nature reserve and one of the most beautiful islands in the High Coast archipelago – a historic fishing village where red boathouses, narrow paths and the sea create a peaceful, car-free environment. The island is home to a charming 17th-century chapel, and by the harbour you’ll find the small fishing museum telling the story of life in the archipelago through the years.
The island is perfect for families, couples and day visitors alike. Families especially enjoy the lovely swimming spots and the chance to explore the island at a relaxed pace. From the hostel, a popular children’s trail begins, featuring fun tasks and activities along the way.
Around the island you’ll find several beaches and rocky coves, each with its own character – from shallow sandy beaches to smooth cliffs perfect for sunbathing and evening swims. There are also barbecue areas and simple shelters for those who want to stay longer and enjoy the fresh sea air. For visitors looking for a bit of adventure, several viewpoints on the surrounding hills offer stunning views across the archipelago and the open sea.
All year around you can get here by ferry from Köpmanholmen, please see www.ornskoldsvikshamn.se for more information and a time schedule.
