Sweden’s highest island is right here in the High Coast archipelago. On Mjältön there is a 600-metre wide lush nature reserve with the cave Mjältögrottan that is 105 metres high! You can get here by private boat, kayak or boat taxi. You can walk about yourself or with a guide from HögaKustenTurer, who will end the day with you around the campfire, telling stories about the area. In the bay Baggviken there is a sauna, jetty, eco-toilet, good tent sites and barbeque sites. Being Sweden’s highest island, it won’t surprise you that Mjältön boasts extraordinary views. From Baggviken you can walk up to the top of Bastutoberget and look out over the archipelago from 236 metres above sea level.
