Östanbäcken
One of Härnösand’s oldest districts, Östanbäcken is partly made up of wooden houses from the 18th and 19th centuries. An oasis in the middle of town, it is very popular among both Härnösand residents and visitors.

Beschreibung
At one time it was close to being demolished, but demolition was stopped and the district now enjoys protection due to its listed buildings. The oldest buildings were built just after 1721, when a fire raged in this part of town. Guided tours during the summer season.
