Description
The ironworks with a blast furnace and hammer forge was completed in 1677 and was the first in Ådalen, but was burned down shortly afterwards by Norwegians who ravaged the area. It was not until eleven years later, in 1682, that the ironworks was rebuilt and the first blasting could start. The business later switched to the wood industry, and today both bar iron hammers and water wheels remain, as well as the manor's two wing buildings.

Graninge Bruk came to belong to Graningeverken AB together with Forsse Works, Sollefteå Works, Gålsjö Works and Bollsta Works. Nowadays, the operations at the mill are run by Graningegården AB, which arranges a number of activities. In addition to restaurant and conference activities, guided tours, excursions, etc. are arranged. There is also a café and an exhibition and film hall.

In the ironworks area there is today a large antique and flea market and in the summer a café is usually open in the area.
