Description
Multråberget is the landscape profile that is perhaps most of all associated with Sollefteå. The top of the mountain is about 250 m above sea level and you can see the mountain with its dramatic precipice no matter where you are in the area.

Multråberget is very suitable as an excursion destination, the trail starts at a sign near Multrå church and the path up to the top takes between 20 and 45 minutes. The trail is quite easy to follow and even smaller children can join along. Just before you get up to the cottage, a detour goes further up to a care box.

Remember to take a pair of sturdy shoes and that it can be slippery on the way down.
Historically, Multråberget has been a place for a beacon, a signal fire that warns of intruders and threats. A beacon is still present at the top, but more as a museum feature. The last time it burned was at the turn of the millennium, as a feature of New Year's celebrations.
For a long time, there has also been a pavilion at the top where you can take a break and eat your packed lunch.
