Description

Nävernäsan is located in Sollefteå municipality, about 30 minutes from Näsåker.
On the car park you will see two signs towards Nävernäsan. One points to the left and has a cross. Itis for snowmobiles.
Take the one to the right that goes gently uphill and into the spruce forest. The trail soon becomes a walking path as it opens onto a bog. Keep an eye out for cloudberries as you pass the bog. On the other side of the bog, the trail enters the forest again. There you can see pines and spruce that can be more than two hundred years old. Even as you continue the trail south of the tower you can see these beautiful old trees. The trail ends at a large slab of granite.

To climb the steep steps in the fire tower requires some courage, especially on a windy day, but will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the forest and Oringsjön to the south.

On site there is a small cabin, windbreak, dass and firewood!

It is less than 1 km from the parking lot to the fire tower, but further if you want.

The hike takes less than an hour round trip.

The trail is easy to hike and child-friendly. The cabin even has crayons and paper for the kids to draw on. Children climb the steep steps to the fire tower at their own risk.
