The stretch is 200 meters on each side of the river, downstream of Sollefteå power plant.
In July, salmon fishing is at its best in the Nipstad fishery. On June 14, 2005, the record salmon was caught for the Nipstad fishery. The salmon weighed 24.2 kg. From the purse seine fishery, a salmon weighing 32.8 kg is reported to have been caught on July 19, 1995. The chance to pull up large salmon is there.
Spin fly fishing is best late in the evening and at night, while on the fly fishing stretch some salmon are caught during the day.
